The intern.

My first three days as an official STATE intern were a whirlwind.

They included an eight-hour bus ride from Pittsburgh to New York City (and, of course, back again), my first sardine-style packed subway ride, meeting Adrienne in-person for the first time and feeling like I’ve known her forever, exploring the details of the studio followed closely behind by little Magda and diving head-first into the world of STATE and the amazing things that happen within.

But it was really awesome getting to watch Adrienne at work - pouring over the details that go into every STATE piece and making sure everything from fabrics to design is perfect and true to the label.

We spent an afternoon indigo dyeing some britches that will soon be arriving at their new home - and making someone’s bottom look pretty great…

I think I’m going to like working here.

Can’t wait to blog about all the things happening behind the scenes of STATE. Look out for more photos of the processes, fun videos and a lot more. Something you’d like to see? Please tell us!
