hello Portland!

Hello Portland!

I'm very excited to be spending the next 2 weeks in the fine city of Portland, OR working on an incredibly cool project.  I was invited by the Museum of Contemporary Craft to be an Artist in Residence for their garment-based show Fashioning CascadiaDuring my two-week residency in MoCC’s Fashion Safehouse, I'll be creating an entire, self-contained wardrobe of garments, dressing myself from head to toe. Fully Clothed will make use of upcycled materials only, becoming an exercise in self-sufficiency and creativity under very specific constraints.

My studio is open to the public during museum hours, so come say hello!

July 29 - August 9 (Tues - Sat 11 am to 6 pm / Closed Sunday and Monday)

I'm also giving an artist talk on July 31st at MoCC as well as teaching a 2 day felting workshop August 8-9. There's still room in my workshop, and the lecture is free and open to the public.  It's going to be a packed and inspiring few weeks! If you're not in Portland, follow along on Instagram where I'll be posting about my progress.
I'm almost packed and ready to go.  Here's everything I'm taking for my remote studio. Fingers crossed I can make enough clothes for 2 weeks....
