Smock Style / Thread Caravan

One of the best parts of making clothing is getting to see all the incredible places our garments go. While I'm busy working away in the studio, our pieces are traveling the world on the most stylish and creative women. 

When Caitlin the founder of Thread Caravan sent me these photos from their recent trip to Guatemala, I had instant wanderlust. Their company curates and leads textile-centric adventures that seem incredible and beyond inspiring. It also further proved my belief that smocks are the ideal travel garment!  What more could you need?! 

Here's what Caitlin said:

Taken on a dock in a town called Panajachel, overlooking Lake Atitlan. Lake Atitlan is a crater lake, and is surrounded by 3 inactive volcanoes. On the circumference of the lake there are tiny towns with lots of artists. During the workshops we stay in an isolated villa right on the lake and we take weaving classes with artisans in Panajachel and San Juan la Laguna.
