A morning with Ayla

Proximity makes the heart grow fonder, and as STATE has taken roots in the South, we've discovered regional inspirations and built new relationships.

Meet Ayla Gurganus, the florist taking Atlanta by peaceful storm (Instagram here). Not only does she run a flower shop located inside one of the city's most beautiful stores, Young Blood, but she's churning up new ideas about community and creativity day by day. One of her most recent projects is Around the Table, a dinner club meant to bring together women from all over the city for good food and conversation.

I found Ayla to be a burst of levity, a bright spot in this gray winter, and a true joy.

Our cord overalls make for a classic look, worn with a button-up, tousled hair, and a burnt-orange beanie.
