OUR AUTUMN DRESSING

The first day of Autumn has come and gone, and while some of us are still living in high heat and humidity, cooler temperatures and a new crispness to the air is coming – we hope. It won't be long until we're spending mornings in old sweatshirts and bringing in wood for the night, until we cocoon up and sit, absorb, and look forward.

STATE's Autumn/ Winter Collection is also on its way, and we wanted to show you just a peek at our inspiration ... how we want to be looking when the sun calms down and the next full moon flares up.

UNRAVEL THE STORY

On Being, Krista Tippett's radio program and podcast, is constantly pushing boundaries, asking good questions, and bringing us comfort in times of need. Its corresponding blog is just as sweet of a place, and this week we loved this poem by Mark Nepo, shared there.

FLOWERS, FLOWERS EVERYWHERE

If you've scrolled through Instagram lately, you might have noticed it too. Flowers, everywhere. We love Saipua's Instagram (especially the sheep stories), and most recently, this story in the New York Times. Georgia florist Ayla Gurganus has been blowing our minds as well with her new floral shop at Young Blood in Atlanta. The depth of material, palette, and commitment to style are a storehouse of inspiration. Painters using plants in the place of pigment – amazing.
