Burnley Saws are painted on vintage hand saws. Each is hand cut and reshaped to make the most bizarre characters. Each saw is unique, and showcases his thick paint and quirky details.
Most saws have a hole for easy hanging. We also use Command Velcro strips for the ones that don’t. They’re so easy to hang and truly make a statement.
Burnley relishes in the found, reclaimed, and ad hoc way of making art and as a result his work is raw and simple. It’s accessible and authentic and, for us, it’s a massive part of its appeal.
STEVE BURNLEY is a self-taught artist living and working in Thomson, GA. Burnley is known for his iconic chicken paintings, and for utilizing found and reclaimed materials.
When not painting or doodling, he spends his time thrifting for his antique store, Aunt Tiques and Uncle Junks.
