If you've been following our journey for a while, you may be familiar with our "Hail Mary" additions to collections. They're a piece we decide to throw in at the very last minute and often times they end up being one of our favorites.
For this collection, that piece is this skirt.
It's one of our favorite fabrics ever and we wanted to use it for a piece that would be super versatile and easy to wear. This elastic waist skirt is just that. Hitting at mid-calf, it's a season-less style that can be layered up for colder days, or worn solo in the summer. The dainty, perpendicular striped ruffle at the bottom gives it just the right amount of controversy to keep things interesting. And, two side pockets, because you're a human who carries things and we see you.
Made from the most wonderful cotton and linen blend. This fabric has an element of the natural to it and contains tiny bits of slub to the weave. The stripes are then printed onto the base fabric and the result is a subtle distressing. It washes and drys like a dream and only looks better and better with wear. It feels vintage, and in our book the best things are.
