True Story: When planning this collection we were dreaming of all of our favorite summer activities and imagining the clothes we'd want to wear while doing them. Abby said "Can we make a shirt to wear on a boat? One to keep you covered from the sun, but it's light and breezy?" We envisioned our ideal boat shirt - big, toss-it-over-everything but still look chic and boaty. We drafted a patten. Drew this print. And Voila!
Fast forward a few weeks later and we're ON A BOAT, and I'm wearing this shirt. I said "ABBY! LOOK! We did it! You said you wanted to make a boat shirt and we did, and we're wearing it on a freaking boat!" We felt a real sense of pride and many high-fives and toasts were shared. We sailed off into the sunset to find a place that served french fries. End Scene.
This shirt is our new favorite thing. The weight is divine - the perfect cotton for warmer days when you still want to cover up. The print is unique and a great pop of pattern in the richest shade of turquoise blue. (We love the pattern so much, it's also our next tissue paper design ;) The long silhouette is ideal for wearing over leggings or tighter pants where you want more coverage over your tush and front parts. And of course it's perfection over a bathing suit! The lightweight cotton dries in a jiffy - a feature we love! We've had a lot of fun styling it cinched and tied with high waisted pants and skirts. The length makes for a perfect tie.
