You def need a cozy sweat suit look when you're traveling, it's 2024. I wanted this set to be sporty but original and settled on a graphic block print. The design is inspired by a vintage Amtrak dishware pattern*, and each segment of the chain is printed block by block in our Athens studio. It's an imperfect process, and we love the irregularity in spacing and coverage. It feels almost vintage.
Printed on the coziest fabric in the most gorgeous shade – is it a pale grey, is it a faint mint, is it dawn?! Easy pants have an elastic waist, two side pockets, and elastic cuffs at the hem. They drape like a pro, the gushy knit fabric creating luxe lines and shape.
Pair it with the matching Pinny tank for a LOOK.
* Why a dishware pattern?
Years ago I took my son to a vintage train museum and my mind was blown. Getting to walk through antique sleeper cars, seeing the details and craftsmanship put into every inch. They don't make things like they used to. My favorite part was an indoor exhibit showcasing the vintage china patterns each train would use in the dining car. The patterns along the rim of the plates and cups were so graphic and modern and I filed them away as inspiration for Future Me, one day. I loved imagining passengers back in the day, speeding along the tracks, lit by candles, enjoying a special meal together. Eating a sit down meal on a train is still a big deal, and feels so fancy. From the white cloth tablecloths, to the cheesy red roses and baby's breath, they are giving it their all. The food isn't half bad either, especially the desserts. :)
