This collection is largely inspired by two of my old old family photos showing my dad’s early race car days. In one, my mom is pumping up a tire, her long braids dangling down over her jumpsuit, the cutest pit crew member alive. This image has stayed with me for decades, and this collection grew out of the subculture of amateur racing.
We imagined a STATE pit crew and how they’d outfit themselves - style that turned heads and also meant business. And this shirt is a prime example. The juxtaposition of stripes and colors makes a surprising harmony, and the boxy fit of our Raglan Tee makes it an easy shirt to wear day in and day out. The best part? It’s reversible! Depending on your outfit you can wear it two ways. Or more ways if you’re creative?!!? I believe in you.
