Bump Style

As my own figure starts to expand (I'm almost 4 months pregnant!) I've been thinking about how clothing adapts to a growing belly. Not one to friviously buy clothes, I want to make a maternity wardrobe that I can wear long after this little human arrives.  Meet our new Drawing Dress (also comes as a top!).  This piece was born at my residency in Portland this summer and is the ideal dress for any day -- pregnant or not!  

To test the limits, I had my friend (and STATE pattern maker) Heather -- 8.5 months pregnant -- give the dress a spin. It fit her like a dream!  It's my favorite dress so far and will be a staple of my wardrobe for the next 6 months and far beyond.
